If you’re bored of the same old brewery scene and looking for a bar that offers something more than crowded taps and predictable menus, Dali & Gala deserves your attention.

Recently named one of India’s Top 50 Restaurants by Condé Nast Traveller India list 2025, Dali & Gala is on the Museum Road in Shanthala Nagar. Inspired by a Salvador Dalí exhibition in Croatia, this is a space that celebrates the wild, romantic, and often scandalous relationship between the legendary painter and his wife and muse, Gala.

Here’s everything you need to know before you plan your visit.

Why Dali & Gala?

Dali & Gala is the brainchild of Goan artist Siddharth Kerkar and hospitality professional Vipin Raman, who spent 45 days bar-hopping through Europe to study spaces where art, design, and drinking culture intersect. This wasn’t an ordinary trip, but a mission to integrate art into the theatre of drinking and dining.

A significant part of that trip was spent in what is known as the “heart of the Dali Triangle” in Cadaqués - home to the Dalí Theatre-Museum - and his birthplace, Figueres. This experience shaped their central idea of a bar that didn’t just display art, but rather was the art itself.

They returned with three major takeaways from this trip that formed the crux of Dali & Gala.

First, that lighting and layout can be used as tools of subtle disorientation, which you’ll be able to observe in the bar’s layered, room-by-room structure.

Second, to counter static decor fading into the background, kinetic elements needed to be set up. The best example here? The rotating Dalí heads behind the bar counter.

And last: The strongest hospitality spaces are built around a human narrative. The bar brings to life the complicated relationship between Dalí and Gala, anchoring in their story of romance, obsession, and artistic partnership.

A space of madness and masterpieces

Dali & Gala is a sequence of five distinct zones, together housing over 75 original artworks created by Siddharth Kerkar, alongside contributions from his father, Subodh Kerkar.

These artworks are central to the identity and theme of the space. Each space leans into a different facet of surrealism, design, storytelling and some of the most spoken about are:

  • The Rose Room: Designed for quieter conversations, this room is framed by sculptural rose lamps and soft lighting, making it one of the bar’s most intimate corners.
  • The Rooster Room: Playful and irreverent, the Rooster Room features “cock-tail” inspired artworks that lean into visual puns and cheeky humour.
  • The Mirror Room: A space built around self-reflection, its walls are lined with over 50 photographs of the people who built the bar, from electricians to chefs, turning the spotlight on the creators behind the scenes.
  • The Animal Room: Dedicated to Salvador Dalí's "stork-legged" animals, the room features Kerkar's original sculptures and paintings inspired by famous Dalinian works like The Elephants (1948) and The Temptation of Saint Anthony (1946).
  • The Eye Bar: The main counter is watched over by 50 hand-beaten copper eyes, alongside six oversized, rotating heads of Dalí and Gala that grow increasingly disorienting as the night goes on.
  • The Sun and Moon Sculpture: Anchoring the space is a large interactive copper installation that mimics the reflection of the sun, tying together the bar’s recurring themes of art, illusion, and romance.

Together, the rooms are a tribute to art and obsession. This place has quietly become the backdrop for many of the viral reels emerging from central Bengaluru’s nightlife scene.

Cocktails paired with Burmese bites

Cocktails are the main event at Dali & Gala, with nearly 30 percent of the menu devoted to tequila and mezcal alone. The bar leans unapologetically into surrealism both visually and conceptually. Signature drinks like Phone Sex arrive with a miniature lobster telephone garnish, while Disco Porn is a milk-clarified gin cocktail topped with an edible portrait of Gala herself.

If you want to lean fully into the bar’s provocative spirit, Midnight Snack comes finished with a sperm-shaped gelatin garnish, serving a cheeky nod to Dalí’s obsession with the themes of desire, adultery, and excess in his artwork.

The food and drinks menu act as extensions of the brand's philosophy, incorporating surrealist symbols and elements into every order. Their focus is on Burmese-inspired small plates that are light, punchy, and built to keep the spotlight firmly on the drinks. Dishes are flavour-forward without being heavy, making them ideal companions rather than distractions.

Standouts include Raw Mango on Crack, a crunchy, tangy salad served atop black rice crackers, and the Burmese Crispy Prawns, tossed in a sticky tamarind soy glaze that hits the sweet-sour sweet spot perfectly. For meat lovers, the Pork Belly Skewers bring a slow-building heat that pairs especially well with the bar’s smokier mezcal pours.
